It is advisable to use a role-based email address, such as "tech-support@mydept.ucsb.edu," to ensure subsequent renewal notices are delivered regardless of potential staff changes.
The maximum term is three years.
  • One of the campus SSL administrators will review the request and solicit confirmation from the department head. Upon confirmation, the certificate will be approved. It can take up to 24 hours for a certificate to be generated once it is approved, so please be patient.
  • Once the certificate has been generated, you will receive email instructions on where to download your new certificate and the intermediates/root certificate.
  • Be sure to follow Comodo's SSL Certificate Installation Instructions for your server (in the Vendor column) and your product (Enterprise SSL Certificate) when installing your certificate. Note that the certificate chain has changed due to our migration from GeoTrust to InCommon.
