Request to Setup a Remote Printer

Request to print from: UCSB Mainframe including Com-Plete, z/OS, and Natural, to a departmental networked printer.

This service is supported  via the Enterprise Technology Support Center (ETSC). Please contact the ETSC via:

Support is available during regular business hours (8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday excluding UCSB Administrative holidays).

You can expedite the process by sending an email to ets-info@ucsb.edu with the following information in the body of your email.

Name, email address and campus extension of requestor
Printer Name
Printer IP address
Department Name
Department Code (4 characters)
Name of the primary user of this printer
Email address of the primary user of this printer
The make and model of this printer
Printer port:  9100 (raw sockets) or 515 (LPD)
Any additional comments you wish to make regarding this printer set up

Notes:

  1. Please enable printing from our UCOP VPS print server at 128.48.64.51, i.e. permit this address in all firewall rules.
  2. All printer names will have a prefix of SB + your department code.
  3. As of June 1, 2014, ETS has discontinued support for PPS printing and support. Please contact Computing Support in Business and Financial Services for this and any other PPS printer related questions: http://www.bfs.ucsb.edu/computing-support/contacts
